A resource, not a pitch

The Founder Authority System

How expert-led firms turn what they know into work the market wants, learn from what comes back, and become the obvious call. Eight chapters, one thing to do in each. No email wall.

01

Expertise is the raw material

Content is not created. It is extracted, then shaped. If the extraction step is 'the founder sits down to write', it will not happen at the cadence the market needs.

Tap a crate to see what is inside. 0 / 6

02

Positioning is a decision, not a discovery

Content amplifies whatever position it is given. If the position is 'we do lots of things for lots of people', the content will be watched by nobody in particular.

Fill the three blanks. Pick a suggestion or write your own.

We helpsolveby.

Fill the three blanks. If you cannot, the position is the work, not the content.

03

Listen before you speak

Your market is already telling you what it wants to watch: in the questions it asks on calls, the objections it raises before price, the words it uses for the problem. Write those down before choosing a topic.

Open each drawer. The language is already there. 0 / 5

01Discovery-call notes

The first ten minutes, before you start explaining. Write down the words they used for the problem, not yours.

02Support and delivery emails

What clients ask after they have bought. That is what the next buyer is worried about before they buy.

03The comment under a competitor's post

The reply that got more replies than the post. It is the market disagreeing in public.

04The sentence that made you wince

Because it was true. Keep it; it is the opening line of the piece you have been avoiding.

05The objection before the price

Whatever they say just before they ask what it costs. That is the real question.

04

One thesis, many expressions

A thesis is an argument the market can react to. One thesis becomes a long piece, several shorts, a post and a thread, different expressions, one learning history. Cross-posting the same words everywhere is not the same thing.

Thesis or topic? Sort the deck. 1 / 6

Card 1

Sales forecasting

05

Distribution is a place, not a blast

The buyer for a £20,000 engagement is not on every platform. Distribution is choosing the two rooms they are in and turning up there with the same argument until it is familiar. Nobody hires the person they saw once.

Pick the two rooms your buyer is actually in. 0 / 2

Not observable. It can still be worth publishing, but write down now that its result will be an anecdote, not evidence.

06

Expect first, then measure what the buyer did

Write down what you expect before a piece goes out, one sentence and a rough band. Two weeks later, read what the buyer did against it: a tracked click, a form, a booked call, someone saying they saw it. Views tell you a piece travelled, not where.

Write the card before the piece goes out.

Expectation card

This piece should earn several replies from buyers, because the opening line names the buyer's problem.

Read in 14 days

Read it in fourteen days, against what actually happened. Not before.

07

Change one thing, then retest

A piece that missed is not a failed thesis; it is a thesis with one wrong component. Change the component, the opening, the proof, the format, and run it again. Record whether the change worked. That record is the asset.

Illustrative case: Good idea, weak hook. Not a client result.

08

What actually matters

Leads, followers, views and virality are not the point. They are proxies, and chasing them is how good firms end up famous in the wrong room. What matters is the process: evidence before ideas, expectations before publishing, diagnosis before the next batch, and a report that shows a bad week as a bad week.

Flip each card. Three are proxies; three are the job. 0 / 6

Use it, not only read it

Two things to do before you apply.

The Playbook is an operating model, so the useful parts are the ones you can put your own situation into.

Diagnose

Where is your authority system breaking?

Pick the description that sounds most like you. Each one maps to a station on the line.

01 · Position

The market sees you but does not know what you should be known for.

How it usually sounds

Topics chosen by mood

This week's post comes from Sunday's mood, not from anything known about what your market is trying to solve.

What Threadline changes here

Market intelligence

The Scanner reads what your market says, its questions, objections and language, from your own records, from public sources and from what you paste in. Every source is kept with its provenance. Login-walled platforms are refused by name, never scraped in the dark.

Model

How much of the right attention does your target actually need?

Start from the engagements you want to win and read the funnel backwards. Change one rate and watch which stage moves.

In the period you are planning for.
Of the right buyers who meet your thinking, the share who book a conversation.
Of booked conversations, the share that are attended.
Of attended conversations, the share that are genuinely a fit.
Of qualified conversations, the share you win.

Booking rate is the rate to work on: ten points there and the same target needs about 223 first touches instead. Everything else being equal, which it never quite is.

A model of your assumptions, not a forecast. It shows what your own numbers imply; it does not know your market, and your market will set its own rates.

This playbook is the fifth of the system we can give away.

If you run a 7, 8 or 9-figure firm and want the other four-fifths run for you, book a call.
